At this 2-day drama camp, a differently-abled person, parents and caregivers were invited to share their personal stories with the youths and the dialogue broadened the youth’s perspective on the struggles and challenges surrounding living with a disability in Singapore.
There was a series of simulation exercises conducted by Rainbow Centre training and consultancy for the youths to experience what it would feel like living with various physical, sensory and developmental impairment, which was a visceral experience that left a deep impression on many of them.
They were also able to tour some of the facilities at Rainbow Centre and learn about their curriculum, operations and services.
